Who we are

I am Brijon M., and I run MadGrey LLC. It is a small, independent publisher: I own the sites, I decide what gets covered, and there is no network or holding company above me setting the agenda. If something on one of these sites is wrong, there is one person to hold responsible, and you can reach him at contact@madgreyllc.com.

The sites cover watches and the accessories that go with them — what to buy for someone who wears one, which strap fits which case, whether a winder is worth owning. They are written for the person standing in front of a buying decision with a budget and a shortlist, not for the person who already knows every reference number by heart.

Why you can trust them is the part I would rather be judged on. Picks are made on published specifications, build, and whether a piece makes sense at its price — never on brand prestige and never on who is paying. Where something has been handled directly, the write-up says so. Where a pick rests on manufacturer specifications instead, it says that too, because a recommendation is only worth as much as what it is based on. Our editorial standards set that out in full.

How picks are chosen

Specifications first. Case dimensions, movement, water resistance, lug width, materials, warranty — the measurable things, compared against what a piece actually costs. Then the judgment specifications cannot make for you: who it suits, and what you give up at that price.

Hands-on where that is possible, and explicit when it is not. No lab, no instrumented testing, and no claim of either. What you get instead is the reasoning in the open, so you can disagree with it on the evidence.

How the sites are funded

The sites in the portfolio earn affiliate commissions: some links to retailers pay a commission if you buy through them. That money funds the work and it never decides what gets recommended or in what order. Rankings are not for sale. The full affiliate disclosure explains exactly how it works, and if anything about it is unclear, get in touch.
